Terms of service

These terms cover the interviewee.fyi web app, the forwarding address it gives you, and the browser extension.

1 · The short version

Your résumés, applications, and profile are yours to manage through the product. We do not connect to your inbox or send mail to employers for you. AI output is a draft to review, and the service cannot promise interviews, offers, or outcomes.

2 · Who can use it, and your account

You must be at least 16 to use interviewee.fyi. Use an account for your own job search and keep your sign-in credentials private. Keep enough account information current for the product to work and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

3 · What the service does

interviewee.fyi keeps a board of applications, résumé information, drafts you request, and forwarded recruiter replies. It is not an employer, recruiter, agency, or a party to an application you submit.

4 · Email forwarding

Forward only mail you are allowed to forward and that relates to your own search. Forwarded mail is used to record a status update on the matching application, which you can undo or correct. While email import is active on your account, a message we cannot parse — including one that arrives when you have no credits — is still logged, and nothing on your board changes. We do not reply to, relay, or email companies on your behalf.

5 · AI features and credits

AI features use the information needed for the request and can produce incorrect or incomplete output. Review each draft before using it. Parsing an email and generating a draft spend AI credits; the tracker itself is not metered. Credits are a licence to use the features in the product, not a currency or stored value: they have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and are not exchangeable for money. A monthly plan allowance does not roll over; credits you earn or buy do not expire. What each action costs, and what each plan grants, is shown on the pricing page and in the product.

6 · Offers and interview questions you share

Only share your own experience and do not include confidential material or identifying information about interviewers. Any sharing controls and aggregate views are presented in the product.

7 · The browser extension

The extension content script automatically runs on allowlisted applicant-tracking-system hosts. After you give the required consent and configuration, it can capture eligible long answers you type for an exact saved application after answer capture is enabled. You mark an application submitted from the popup after the employer confirms it was sent. Demographic questions are excluded. Check all information on a job site before you submit.

8 · Your content stays yours

You control the résumé, profile, applications, notes, and mail you add. The product uses that content to provide the features you request and show it back to you. You choose what to submit to an employer.

9 · Acceptable use

Do not impersonate others, upload someone else’s résumé as your own, bypass access controls or limits, misuse the forwarding address, or interfere with the service. Do not scrape, bulk-download, or republish the pooled offer and interview-question data — people share it to help other applicants, not to stock someone else’s dataset.

10 · Plans, payment and refunds

The pricing page shows the available plans, their prices and the credits each one grants. A plan is a subscription: it renews automatically and is charged each period until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next charge and keeps Premium to the end of the period you have paid for. A credit pack is a one-time purchase and never renews. Credits themselves are never bought for you automatically — there is no automatic top-up. Payments are handled through the configured checkout flow, and are not refundable except where the law requires it. If a renewal payment fails we keep Premium for a short grace period and then move the account to Free; credits you earned or bought stay with you. Contact us about a billing issue.

11 · Changes and availability

The product can change, and service availability can be interrupted. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. Current product details and these terms are published on the site.

12 · Ending the agreement

You can delete your account from settings. Deleting an account ends access to the account content in the product, subject to the privacy policy’s retention information.

13 · Disclaimers and liability

Job applications, employer systems, forwarded mail, and generated drafts can contain errors or fail. You remain responsible for what you submit and for your job-search decisions. This section does not add a jurisdiction-specific liability cap.
